Safety and health information

The ice bath and sauna are a ritual for refreshment and relaxation. To keep it a good experience, please read this information before first use. It applies to everyone who uses the equipment. Please share it with the people travelling with you.
This information forms part of our rental terms.
Check with a doctor first
Cold and heat put a strain on the circulation. Do not use the ice bath or sauna without prior medical advice if any of the following applies to you:
- cardiovascular problems
- high blood pressure
- pregnancy
The same applies to other medical conditions, after surgery, if you take medication regularly, or if you are unsure. If in doubt, ask your doctor.
Please do not use the equipment if you have a fever, an acute infection or open wounds.
Children
- Children use the ice bath and sauna only under adult supervision.
- Never leave children alone at or in the equipment.
- Minimum age: [age]
No alcohol, no drugs
No alcohol and no drugs before or during use. Please also avoid using the equipment straight after a heavy meal.

- Stand up slowly and leave the sauna calmly.
- Do not fall asleep in the sauna.
- Pouring water on the heater: [allowed/not allowed – as instructed]
Alternating ice bath and sauna
Take a break between sessions. Pay attention to how you feel, and do less rather than too much.
Stop immediately if you feel unwell
If you feel unwell, leave the ice bath or sauna immediately. This applies, for example, to dizziness, numbness, strong shivering, shortness of breath, a racing heart or pressure in the chest.
Sit or lie down and tell the person with you. In an emergency, call 112.
Warm up slowly after the ice bath
Dry yourself, put on warm clothes and move gently. Let your body warm up slowly and naturally.
Drink enough water
Drink enough water before and after use.
Keep the cover on
Close the ice bath with its cover when it is not in use. This keeps the water clean and cool – and stops children or pets from getting in unnoticed.
Electrical safety
- Do not tamper with the chiller or the sauna heater. Do not open any housing.
- Keep the socket, plug and cable dry.
- Do not touch plugs or switches with wet hands.
- Do not use additional extension cables or multi-socket adapters that we have not connected ourselves.
- Never cover the sauna heater and do not place towels on it.
- If you notice a defect, a smell or unusual noises: switch the device off or unplug it if this is safe, and contact us immediately.
Hygiene
- Shower before use.
- Do not apply oils, creams or sunscreen beforehand.
- Do not add any additives, soap or cleaning products to the water.
- We clean and disinfect the ice bath and sauna before every booking. [notes on water care during the rental period]
